Veer, S van der

Sabine van der Veer is a PhD candidate at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour market (ROA) at the University of Maastricht. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in sociology at VU Amsterdam and finished the research master social sciences at the University of Amsterdam with specialisations in sociology and mixed methods. She conducted internships at Statistics Netherlands and the Netherlands Institute of Mental Health and Addiction.
Her PhD-project investigates how to improve children’s health and lifestyle effectively in order to reduce inequalities in health and education. Additionally, she works with Harry Ganzeboom as a researcher on the effects of European student allowance regimes on reducing inequalities in educational opportunities.
