D. Zwier

Dieuwke Zwier is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy. She is affiliated with the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University. Her research interests include social stratification, the sociology of education, and social network analysis. Currently, she is involved in the LEARN (Longitudinal Educational Achievements: Reducing Inequalities) project.

Dieuwke obtained her PhD in Sociology (cum laude) at the University of Amsterdam, where she was affiliated with the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR) and the Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology (ICS). Her dissertation focused on socio-economic disparities and peer dynamics in secondary school choice. She also contributed to the PRIMS (transition from PRIMary to Secondary education) data collection, taught courses on quantitative methods to bachelor's and research master's students, and supervised bachelor theses.
