M. Brinkman

Marieke Brinkman (MEd. MA.) is Co-Creation Manager at the Research Center for Education and the Labor Market (ROA) of the School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Maastricht University.

She specialises in educational innovation, co-creation in education, intercultural collaboration and designing learning environments that engage and empower students and professionals. She has extensive experience in developing and supervising educational programmes, researching professional learning processes and implementing innovative teaching methods. Alongside her work at the ROA, she is currently employed at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, where she has held various roles. These include team manager of the International Business programme, project leader for the development of a new graduation procedure based on Professional Products, lecturer in Business Research and graduation supervisor — positions she still holds today.

After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Leisure Management in 2002 and a Master's degree in German Studies in 2007, she began her career in Germany in 2006. She worked as Country Manager for the Benelux and Scandinavia regions before moving into Business Development in the online sector, and subsequently into Marketing in the German leisure industry. In 2012, she switched to education to pursue her passion for teaching and learning.
