Positive Health at work in vocational educationIn Progress

Vocational education (MBO) institutions in the Netherlands have been using Positive Health in their student curricula for some time now (particularly for students in healthcare-related programs). In recent years, these institutions have been trying to extend this approach to their staff. However, many questions remain regarding the use of Positive Health for employees. How exactly can Positive Health be implemented? Which tools or instruments can be used for this purpose? Who uses them and when? What role does the organizational context play in this (e.g., organizational culture, vision, strategy)? And what exactly do these institutions want to achieve by implementing Positive Health? Together with MBO institutions, we are seeking answers to these questions. The goal of the research is to determine (a) to what extent and in what way the participating MBO institutions implement Positive Health for their employees, (b) which barriers and facilitators play a role in this, and (c) what the participating VET institutions, and other VET institutions in the Netherlands, can specifically do to implement Positive Health effectively for employees within their organization.
