Sandra Pérez Rodríguez is a PhD candidate at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University. She studied the MSc. Economics in Maastricht University during the academic year 2018/2019, specialising on Education and Labour Economics. In addition, Sandra obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Oviedo, where she received the “Premio Fin de Grado Santa Catalina 2018”, an award to the best academic record of the class of 2018.
Sandra first joined ROA as an intern while writing her master thesis in 2019; where she worked on skill mismatch in the frame of the Survey of Adult Skills (PIAAC). After graduation, she did a traineeship at the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) in Thessaloniki (Greece). In March 2020 she joined ROA again as a junior researcher to continue working on the skill mismatch project. In September 2020, Sandra starts her PhD position. Her current research investigates the relationship between expectations and study choice.
