38th EALE-conference, Barcelona, Spain

The EALE 2026 Organizing Committee is pleased to invite all labour economists to submit papers for presentation at the 38th annual conference of the European Association of Labour Economists in Barcelona, Spain.

The event will take place at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona from 31 August to 2 September 2026 and will be organized by the Universitat de Barcelona School of Economics and the Barcelona School of Economics.

The EALE conference features both parallel and poster sessions. Parallel sessions contain 3 to 4 short presentations. Poster sessions, which last about 45 minutes, allow researchers to present their work on a poster while participants stop by to discuss the paper and interact with the presenter. Both presentation formats are used, and papers have the same status regardless of the format. The conference will also feature two keynote lectures, three flash talk sessions, and a policy roundtable.
