Health and Sustainable Employability
-
Within this theme, at ROA we study fundamental questions related to a resilient and healthy workforce in dynamic and rapidly changing labour markets. We study questions such as: How do recent societal and technological developments, such as the rise of AI, affect employees’ well-being? To what extent and how can organisations use innovative interventions and concepts, such as Positive Health, to allow employees to achieve their full potential in a healthy and sustainable way? And how can organisations become more inclusive for employees who are vulnerable? Additionally, health and well-being in adulthood are largely shaped by people’s social background and experiences during childhood and adolescence. How does children’s health and well-being affect their educational performance? And how do key skills obtained during childhood have a lasting influence on health and well-being during adulthood? In several projects, ROA aims to answer these questions to contribute to a healthy workforce and sustainable employability for the future.
