Peter de Boer is an affiliated PhD candidate at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) of Maastricht University. Under the supervision of Prof. dr. Frank Cörvers, his research focuses on Generation Z work values and the dynamic interplay between this generational cohort and internationally operating SMEs in diverse regional contexts.

Peter obtained his Master’s degree in Language and Cultural Studies (American Studies) from the University of Groningen. Since 2005 he has worked as a (senior) lecturer and researcher in international higher education, having been based among others in China and Thailand. Besides his PhD research, Peter works at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences where he serves as institutional project leader for RUN-EU, the European University Alliance in which NHL Stenden participates.
