M. Pardesi
Mantej Pardesi is a PhD candidate at the Research Center for Education and Labor Market (ROA) at Maastricht University. After finishing his Bachelors (B.A. Hons) in Economics from University of Delhi, India, Mantej obtained his Masters in Economics and Public Policy (MSc) from University of Amsterdam and Maastricht University, respectively. Prior to joining the ROA, Mantej worked as a Lecturer at the School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University. Alongside his teaching position, he worked as Quantitative Research Officer at Economic Policy Research Institute – a think-tank based in South Africa. His research experience covers topics on social protection policies, labor market transitions, skill development, training and education. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Frank Cörvers and Prof. Dr. Harald Pfeifer, Mantej is studying the role of training and hiring policies and other labor market institutions to address the widening productivity gap between frontier firms and non-frontier firms.
