C. Smeets
Chayenne Smeets is a PhD candidate at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University, where she conducts research on early school leaving. In addition to her PhD research, she is also involved in the National Cohort Study on Education (National Cohortonderzoek Onderwijs, in Dutch; NCO).
She obtained a bachelor’s degree in European Studies from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and a pre-master’s certificate in European Studies from Maastricht University. She subsequently earned a master’s degree in Public Policy & Human Development, specializing in Social Protection, from Maastricht University and the United Nations University–MERIT.
