Lucia Velasco is an affiliated PhD candidate at the Research Institute of the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (ROA). Under supervision of Prof. dr. Mark Levels, her research centers on the political economy of AI, exploring the power dynamics between AI, economy, and workers

Besides her PhD research, she currently works with United Nations and serves as co-chair to the OECD-GPAI future of work initiative.
