At the ELMI Conference in Brussels Didier Fouarge (ROA) presented findings from the S2C project. The work (together with Ziyue Zhu, Barbara Belfi and Melline Somers) ir work delves into the evolving landscape of vocational education and training (VET) in the Netherlands. The study highlights how updates to VET curricula, particularly in social and technical skills, positively impact labor market outcomes for graduates. By analyzing curricula from 2012 to 2023, the researchers found that programs emphasizing these skills lead to better employment rates and higher wages. This research underscores the importance of continually updating educational programs to meet the changing demands of the job market, ensuring that students are well-equipped with the skills needed for success in their careers.
