M. Monfrance
Mélanie Monfrance is a senior researcher/project leader at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University. Her research focuses pm non-cognitive skills, learning and educational inequalities. She is currently actively involved in the Nationaal Cohortonderzoek Onderwijs (NCO) and the OnderwijsMonitor Limburg (OML).
Mélanie obtained her PhD at the School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University with the dissertation “Exploring Non-Cognitive Skills and Inequality through the Magnifying Lens of a Pandemic”. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology at Tilburg University, where she extended her Master’s program by interning at the Dutch Inspectorate of Education. Before joining ROA, she worked as a junior researcher at the Institute for Evidence-Based Education Research (TIER) at Maastricht University and at Fontys University of Applied Sciences.
