Expertise

  • The Research Center for Education and the Labor Market (ROA) is one of the largest research institutes specializing in applied social science research in the field of education and the labor market. ROA focuses on both high-quality scientific research and policy-oriented (contract) research, thereby making a substantial impact on policy and society. This makes ROA the market leader in this field.

ROA was founded in 1986 and is a research institute of the School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University. The research conducted by ROA focuses primarily on skills development and covers the entire life cycle: from preschool education to education, from education to the (dynamic) labor market, and from the labor market to retirement.
