Abstract
Since 2013, the AOW age has been increasing incrementally from 65 to 67 in 2024. ROA, commissioned by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, has examined the facts and trends related to the AOW age increase for the period 2007-2020. The study is the fourth edition of the AOW Monitor.
The report shows that employees more often wish and also think they can continue working. The self-employed generally wish and think they can continue working, but for them we see a decline that also started well before the Covid crisis.
