Messioui, A

Angela Messioui is an affiliated PhD candidate at Maastricht University’s Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA). Under supervision of Prof. dr. Andries de Grip and Prof. dr. Jos Sanders, her research focuses on the relationship between perceived skills obsolescence and absenteeism.

Angela obtained her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam and a post-bachelor’s degree in Register Casemanagement legislation, absenteeism and claims management from the HAN University of Applied Sciences. In 2022 she will obtain her master’s degree in Management Studies at the Open University of the Netherlands. 

As a Registered Case Manager, Angela has gained extensive knowledge and experience in the field of absenteeism and social security. Besides her PhD research, she currently works at VodafoneZiggo as an absence specialist.
