Sanne Steens is a Specialist Data Science & Research Management at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA). She obtained a Master’s degree in Data Science for Business and Governance at Tilburg University, where her master thesis focused on human-robot interaction by means of gesture recognition.

At ROA, Sanne fulfills two roles; first, implementing innovative and data science techniques in research and its visualizations and second, managing the complete process of research (co-creation management, stakeholder management, finances and driving meta-level processes). She is currently involved in (a.o.) research that focusses on assessing skills demands using text mining techniques, eye tracking research and the ai:conomics project, where the team studies the impact of AI on work and workers.
