T. Stolp
Tom Stolp is a senior researcher at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University. He obtained his research master degree in Economic and Financial Research at the School of Business of Maastricht University. At the same university, he obtained his PhD in Economics in 2018. Since then Tom has conducted both scientific research and applied research for public and private parties. His main research interests focus on the causal effects of education policy – with an emphasis on teacher labor markets – and personnel economics. Currently, Tom is mainly working at the Teacher Lab of Ontwikkelkracht where his projects revolve around the teacher shortage. In this capacity, he has published a scientific literature review that lists interventions to increase teacher employment and analysed the causal effects of a differential teacher wage increase in Amsterdam, for example.
