How do we proceed?

The research will consist of an anonymous questionnaire on the Qualtrics platform.
The data manager of ROA, Maastricht University only receives the anonymous responses and stores the data in a safe and secure location on servers located at ROA, Maastricht University. An anonymous dataset will be made available only to the researchers.

Personal data

With this questionnaire, ROA does not gather any personal data.

Confidentiality of information

The anonymous data will only be accessible and used by the researchers involved in the research team at ROA, Maastricht University. The research team at ROA, Maastricht University will never report on individual questionnaire responses; the minimum group of responses for reporting is six. The research data will be retained for a period of at least 10 years.

Potential risks and inconveniences

There are no physical, legal or economic risks associated with your participation in the research.

How will you be compensated for your participation?     

There is no payment or compensation for taking part in this research.

Voluntary basis

Participation in the research is voluntary. You have the right to stop participating in the research at any time, without stating reasons, and you have the right to withdraw your permission for the use of your information in the research. If you decide to stop participating in the research, this will not have any adverse consequences for you. If you decide to stop participating in this research, the information you submitted before you withdrew permission will be used for the research, because it is not possible to identify and remove individuals in processed responses to the questionnaires.

Geachte deelnemer,

Bedankt voor het invullen van deze enquête. Wij waarderen uw tijd en moeite. We willen graag wat aanvullende informatie over het onderzoek met u delen om ervoor te zorgen dat u het onderzoek volledig begrijpt.

1. Doel van het onderzoek: Ons onderzoek is erop gericht om te ontdekken hoe verschillende soorten informatie over het verwachte pensioeninkomen en verwachte uitgaven na pensionering de pensioenvoorkeuren beïnvloeden. Om dit te onderzoeken hebben we deelnemers willekeurig ingedeeld in verschillende groepen, die elk iets andere informatie ontvangen over hun verwachte pensioeninkomen en/of uitgaven. Daarna kregen sommige deelnemers extra feedback. Door de effecten van pensioeninformatie te begrijpen, willen we pensioenfondsen helpen om hun communicatiestrategieën te verbeteren en beter geïnformeerde pensioenbeslissingen te ondersteunen.
2. Gebruik van benaderende gegevens: De inkomen- en uitgavencijfers die u te zien kreeg geven een ruwe schatting van uw pensioensituatie weer. Omdat deze cijfers bij benadering zijn, weerspiegelen ze mogelijk niet perfect uw persoonlijke situatie. Ga voor meer accurate cijfers naar de Mijn ABP omgeving.
3. Waarom we bepaalde details hebben achtergehouden: We hebben u niet geïnformeerd over uw specifieke groepsindeling. Deze aanpak helpt voorkomen dat deelnemers hun antwoorden bewust veranderen op basis van kennis over de voorwaarden van het onderzoek. Door gebruik te maken van deze onvolledige bekendmaking, kunnen we onbevooroordeelde inzichten verzamelen in hoe mensen reageren op verschillende soorten pensioengerelateerde informatie.
4. Vertrouwelijkheid: Uw antwoorden zijn anoniem geregistreerd. Er zijn geen persoonlijke identificatiegegevens met het onderzoeksteam gedeeld en er worden geen individuele gegevens aan derden verstrekt. We zullen alleen anonieme resultaten gebruiken voor analyse en eventuele toekomstige rapporten of publicaties.
